Mr Lun practises corporate, commercial and intellectual property laws in business sectors where technology plays a key role. He supports innovation, regularly attending and organising events and sharing his insight about new ideas and technological developments. Mr Lun’s work is of a particular emphasis on intellectual properties, which covers management of trademarks, and application, licensing and litigation of patents. He specialises in consumer electronics, software and mechanical technology. He has advised on disputes involving software copyrights, wind turbine technology, vehicle chassis and transmission systems and consumer electronics. He also advises on unfair competition matters. Prior to joining Jiahua, Mr Lun worked for Hylands in Beijing for several years, advising multi-national corporations on IPRs protection strategies including drafting and prosecuting patent applications and oppositions before the CNIPA (formerly known as the SIPO). Mr Lun has knowledge both of Chinese law and of English common law. He is able to explain the reality of working within the Chinese legal and social framework in terms easily understandable by his clients. He has been able to efficiently work with lawyers and in-house counsels in other jurisdictions in dealing with matters pertaining to mainland China. This involves a broad range of corporate, regulatory and compliance matters which involve inbound direct investment and joint venture.
